Bangladesh: A Travel Survival Kit

Bangladesh's reputation as an international disaster zone hides just how interesting this small country can be. The adventurous traveller can explore tropical forests, one of the longest (and widest) beaches in the world, national parks so dense they can only be explored by boat, some of the oldest Buddhist remains on the subcontinent, gracious towns in the tea-growing hill country and areas populated by a whole dictionary of colourful tribes. Travel is relatively quick and easy and on Bangladesh's innumerable rivers fine old paddle-wheelers are still everyday transport.
