Exiles
Ben Klugin the midst of this vast and darkened land. There are others, your fellows in rust and
disappointment. Display the trophies of your travels. Wonder at the unknown, and share stories
of lands long gone. You’ll come to know each other better.
This is a tabletop game for any number of players. Players take on the role of a
wandering warrior, an adventurer amid the ruins of a world gone by - Dark Souls is the obvious
inspiration, but need not be the only one you draw on. Based on prompts, you will describe
your weapons and armor, and through them the history of the land. As you do so, you will
collectively map out the world beyond the campfire, learn how your histories have intersected,
and finally decide whether this is the end of your travels.
Each player possesses various items - most likely a weapon, some armor (perhaps
mismatched pieces), some trinkets or rings. These are found things, remnants of the past.
Each player is a wanderer, unable to return home. An exile.
