Jane's Air-Launched Weapons - Issue Forty One

Jane’s Air - launched Weapons has been designed to present the facts known about the world’s air-launched air-to-air missiles, air-to-surface missiles, bombs, aircraft guns, rockets and underwater weapons in a single cover and in a format for easy reference. The format provides a separate section of analysis tables comparing the large number of systems contained in the book, with each category of weapon divided into groups with a similar role. The types of in-service combat aircraft and helicopters are then listed, together with the air-launched weapons that they can carry. Each country is then detailed, with the weapons that are in service, or in development. 
A standard format for each entry is used, with differences to accommodate each category of launched weapon. In preparing this publication, sometimes there has been conflicting information to be compared and an assessment of the most likely figure has had to be made. However, the aim is to provide the user with an impartial assessment, and to provide further information in those areas where there are few details available now.
