About The AuthorBorn in Roswell, New Mexico in 1956, Richard Phillips graduated from West Point in 1979, trained as an Army Ranger and served for several years as an officer in the United States Army. In 1989, he graduated from the Naval Post Graduate School with a Master of Science degree in Nuclear Physics, completing his thesis work at Los Alamos National Laboratory. He then spent several years as a military researcher at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, before completing his tour of duty as an Army Officer. Since 1996, Richard Phillips has been a lead developer of robotic control systems. He now lives in Phoenix, Arizona, with his lovely wife, Carol.
